In the interest of providing excellent public service to our primary beneficiaries and stakeholders, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office 8 through its Regional Training Division, conducted the Training on Advances of Fisheries Technologies and Fisheries Management for BFAR8 technical employees whose job are critical in the implementation of various Livelihood and Coastal Resource Management projects and in aiding the Bureau to achieve its mandate.
Said capacity building training is a series of seminars to be held every first two Mondays of the month from June until September of the current year. First session of which was conducted on June 3, 2019 in Tacloban City.
This training aims to enhance the basic knowledge on biology and aquaculture technology of the top priority commodities of the region. Additionally, this learning opportunity will augment the expertise on post-harvest technology and marketing of the agency’s technical force in order to efficiently and effectively provide technical assistance to the Bureau's clients and stakeholders.
Furthermore, this seminar series will enable the participants to upgrade their skills and knowledge on Aquatic Ecology and Capture Fisheries which are the foundation in the implementation of CRM projects geared to conserve, protect and sustain our aquatic and fisheries resources.
As we answer the call towards protecting our marine resources and uplifting our fisherfolk, these learning and development opportunities are necessary in addressing these challenges facing our fisheries industry. Moreover, BFAR 8 will always strive to provide our fisherfolk with sincere, genuine, and competent public service.
