A melon-headed whale calf with an approximate length of 1.50 meters has been stranded on or around 4:57 p.m. yesterday, along the shoreline of Sitio Magbangon, Brgy. Tinag-an, Albuera, Leyte.

According to the responders, the said marine mammal is still physically unstable and has wounds on its dorsal fin and tail fluke.

It is currently at the Ormoc City Fisheries Office Rehabilitation Facility for proper care and rehabilitation.
